About The Event
Join us as we induct Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, 2024 Olympic Gold Medalist Armand "Mondo" Duplantis, and several UL national champion weightlifters as Living Legends! We'll be raising money for all the organizations the Acadian Heritage and Culture Foundation supports. Live music, a raffle, and a full authentic, traditional Cajun meal (including Nelies Dugas' bread pudding and a dessert by Guidry's Cakes) are included with ticket purchase and adult beverages will be available. Now available: meal details and event program draft. Authors present will include Dr. Barry Ancelet, Ron Bodin, John Francois, Nelwyn Hebert, artist Paul Schexnayder, and Genie Summers, as well as Beverly Fuselier, Mary Perrin and Jason Theriot, Ph.D., who will sign copies of their new books. UPDATE: We'll also be joined by a two-time Olympic high jump medalist and world record holder, UL graduate and author Hollis Conway! Get your tickets today!
